Resistive spot welding is the original process used in the assembly of many sections of a motor vehicle body on assembly lines all over the world. This method of joining utilises a combination of pressure and electrically generated heat to join the body sections where they overlap.
This same method has been adopted here at Bundaberg Smash Repairs as it is proven to cause less stress and metal deformity than other welding methods, especially where new panels are mated with existing bodywork.
